Jewelry care
A few simple habits keep your pieces bright for years.
Every day
Put your jewelry on last, after perfume, cream and hairspray, and take it off before showering, swimming or exercising. Water, chlorine and cosmetics dull plating and stones.
Cleaning
Wipe each piece with a soft dry cloth after wearing. For a deeper clean use lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive products and ultrasonic cleaners on plated or stone-set pieces.
Storage
Keep each piece separately in its pouch or box, away from humidity and sunlight, so that chains do not tangle and surfaces do not scratch.
Silver and plated pieces
Sterling silver darkens naturally over time and brightens again with a silver cloth. Gold plating is a fine layer: the gentler the wear, the longer it lasts.
Engraved pieces
Clean engraved plates with a soft cloth only, following the direction of the brushed or polished finish, so the letters stay crisp.
